Chris Pyle serves as chief video photographer and editor for Gear 6 Productions. He has been working as a professional video photographer, sound engineer, editor, and director for over 25 years and has covered a diverse range of subject matter from wildlife and nature documentaries to historical biographies and current event news stories. His work has been featured on broadcast and cable television including National Geographic Television, PBS,Discovery Channel, History Channel, HBO, and CBS News, to name only a few. His work has taken him from the ice pack of
the Arctic to the scorching deserts of California. He has been on expeditions from the rugged coastlines of Baja to the storm-tossed Sea of Japan.
Chris Pyle’s awards include 7 Emmy awards for photography and producing, a TELLY Award for editing, and a CINE Golden Eagle Award for cinematography. In 2010 his film, “A Year in the Desert” was chosen as Film of the Year by the Earthwatch Institute.
Chris is happily married and has two active children whom he spends most of his free time chasing after. He also enjoys sailing, woodworking, and inventing and building camera contraptions to improve his photography.
Paul Wagner serves as Executive Producer for Gear 6 Productions. Prior to starting G6 with long time business partner, Chris Pyle, Wagner produced, directed and starred in a diverse mix of entertainment projects on a freelance basis. These included short films, commercials, documentaries, theater, television and online content.
He has been involved in a variety of national commercials spots, ranging form Chevy cars and trucks, to United Healthcare. Wagner has also been involved in print campaigns for Harrah's Casinos, Nestle Crunch, Edward Jones Financial and many others. He has also been an associate producer on a plethora of film projects, including the short film Change, which won his production team national recognition on the film festival circuit.
Since Mr. Wagner received his Master's Degree in Fine Arts from the University of California, Irvine in 2003, he has utilized his skill set to flourish in perhaps the most competitive entertainment market in the world, Los Angeles. After a variety of unique experiences in front of the camera, Wagner has now stepped behind the camera, building one-of-a-kind web content, viral videos, documentary and nature films for Gear 6.
Paul lives in West Hollywood with his wife Elizabeth.
